TERMS of USE

 

The Virtual Pose ® images are to be used as visual references only, and CANNOT be used, modified, or reproduced as photographic images —in whole or in part, in any medium or form, be it electronic or print.

 

Anyone who (1) purchases a new and legal hard-copy of Virtual Pose ® (with an unbroken CD-ROM seal) from an authorized reseller and/or (2) purchases Virtual Pose ® through our online store (the ONLY authorized seller of the Virtual Pose ® online collection) and downloads them, is therefore granted a license to produce and sell original artwork that may closely resemble the photographic images presented in the Virtual Pose ® QTVR, Flash, and HTML5-compatible movies and/or products ("The Poses").

 

THE PLAIN, NON-LEGALESE VERSION: regardless of size, format, and origin, The Poses are NOT "Royalty-Free" — that is why we do not charge HUNDREDS of dollars PER IMAGE! On the other hand, we want you to be inspired by our beautiful images. And so, you may create art based upon the poses. Feel free to draw, paint, and sculpt them as closely as possible to the original images. However, you cannot use the actual "pixels" from the CD ROM or scan the photographs.

 

Of course, in the course of creating your work, you may find it easier to print The Poses. You may do so PROVIDED YOU NEVER SELL, DISTRIBUTE, LEND, OR POST THE PRINTS AND/OR PDFs ANYWHERE BUT ON YOUR OWN STUDIO WALLS!)

 

Once the CD-ROM seal is broken, this license cannot be transferred or resold!

 

If you purchased Virtual Pose ® with a broken CD-ROM seal, the license is void and you can only use the images in The Poses to create original artwork NOT intended for sale. If you resell your book and/or accompanying CD-ROM, you must destroy any legal back-up copy(s) or printouts of The Poses.

 

The Poses, whether whole or in part, and regardless of how they were acquired, CANNOT BE RESOLD in any shape or form!

 

THERE ARE ONLY TWO LEGAL METHODS TO ACQUIRE A VIRTUAL POSE ® LICENSE:

a) You purchase a NEW, TANGIBLE, HARDCOVER book with a sealed CD-ROM.

 

b) You purchase a digital product or service from VirtualPose.net.

 

You can sell your (tangible) Virtual Pose ® book and CD-ROM provide that you completely DESTROY any image you have stored in digital form and/or printed for your own, personal, legal use. You see, that original book and CD-ROM was your LICENSE to create and sell art based on the Virtual Pose ® images.

 

That license is NOT TRANSFERABLE.

 

And so, when you purchase a USED book and CD-ROM, you are not granted a license to sell art based on the Virtual Pose ® images!

 

Today, being that we no longer produce new books and CD-ROMs, the only LEGAL way to sell your art that you have created using Virtual Pose ® as a visual reference, is by purchasing a license from us directly.

 

IN OTHER WORDS, ANY VIRTUAL POSE ® PRODUCT YOU PURCHASE THROUGH THIS WEB SITE (THE ONLY LEGAL WAY TO ACQUIRE VIRTUAL POSE ®) AUTOMATICALLY GRANTS YOU A LICENSE TO SELL ART CREATED BY USING VIRTUAL POSE ® AS A VISUAL REFERENCE. And once again, please remember that THE POSES are NOT ROYALTY-FREE!

 

The Poses are licensed for individual and private use only. Any unauthorized copying, hiring, renting, public performance and broadcasting of The Poses is strictly prohibited.

RESTRICTED ACADEMIC USE: UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE, teachers wishing to use The Poses in their classrooms in lieu of a live model can only do so after purchasing a MUTLI USERS LICENSING agreement.
