Virtual Pose ¨ provides the artist the ability to rotate the model right on the screenÊin order to gain a better understanding of the three dimensional aspect of the pose. And when projected on a wall (may it be real or virtual), large groups of artists can enjoy creating with the next best thing to a real model. Virtual Pose ® is the perfect solution for your online life-drawing classes.
Virtual Pose ® Universal ™ [HTML5 version] is compatible with all systems supporting an HTML5-compatible browser.

Below is a short HOW-TO video presented by Mario Henri Chakkour that offers a quick overview of the basic operating procedures for Virtual Pose ® on the iPhone, iPad, PCs, and MACs. Click on the image of Lauren playing the violin to launch it.
PC Users: Virtual Pose ® [QTVR version only] is NOT WINDOWS compatible!
Please opt for the UNIVERSAL [HTML5-compatibe] option.
iOS Users: Virtual Pose ® [QTVR] is iPhone and iPad compatible
This notice only concerns the QTVR collection:
In order to operate the QTVR movies on your device, you can purchase an application called QuickPano (around 6 dollars), and install a free version of iZip (both available through the Apple® store). What makes QuickPano unique is that it CAN operate QTVR OBJECTS — which is what VP movies essentially are. Also, as benchmark test, we tested a 21.4 MB file on an iPhone4, and a 32 MB file on an iPad Air.
Then, download any ZIPPED poses from our online store, extract it in iZip, then from within iZip choose "Open In," which prompts the "Open in QuickPano" window, and that's it. Or upload files to your Dropbox, then download them to QuickPano.
What we love about VP on the iOS is the true tactility when it comes to rotating, zooming in/out, and dragging the image.
VIRTUAL POSE ® SESSIONS™ requires FLASH ® (You will find a fully-operating Sessions™ sample on this page).
CURRENTLY QUICKTIME VR IS NOT COMPATIBLE with QuickTime player version X.
For that,
you need to install QuickTime Player 7 or 6.
YES, all QTVR poses *ARE* compatible with MAC OS X. You just need QT7 or QT6 to operate the QTVR functions (rotate at will, zoom, pan).
In order to access EARLIER VERSIONS of QUICKTIME (QT7&QT6 for BOTH MAC&PC) PLEASE FOLLOW THIS LINK.

Below are some useful technical notes to help you maximize your creative experience with our Virtual Pose ¨ models:
WHEN DOWNLOADING POSES
If you do not have QuickTime Pro please make sure you are using FIREFOX as your browser in order to save some of our poses onto your hard drive after purchase. Please disregard if dowloading Stuffit or Zip formats.
In the case of the poses that are compressed in Stuffit or Zip formats, you will need a decompressor such as
STUFFIT EXPANDER. (Nowadays, we recommend everyone download the Zipped format).
Double click to launch it automatically in the QuickTime Movie Player. You may draw, paint, and sculpt with your Virtual Pose¨ reference image on the monitor screen, projected on a wall, or printed on a sheet of paper.
If you are using VISTA, then you'll need the DEVAL player. Please click to read the Vista Update.

RESIZING/FITTING IMAGE TO COMPUTER MONITOR SCREEN
QT Movie Player window, press the (LEFT) click button on the mouse and drag the mouse to the left or to the right. If using a tablet and digitizing pen, press the nib on the surface of the tablet and drag to the left or to the right.
PRINTING THE POSE
Choose ÒFILE/PRINTÓ in the QT Movie Player.
QUICKTIME PRO
Upgrading from QT to QT PRO is OPTIONAL and may not be necessary.
However, given the larger size of the images now available to you, upgrading to QT PRO will allow you to export images in a multitude of formats, and print them FOR VISUAL REFERENCE ONLY in a much larger size than before.
QT Pro Users Please Read: Installing the included QT Player will remove any previous version of QT that may have been installed. This will also invalidate your (OPTIONAL) old QT Pro Key and require that you purchase a new QT Pro Key to maintain your existing "Pro-Level" capabilities. YOU MAY NOT WANT or NEED TO DO THAT... the older version of QT may work "just fine" with the poses. Therefore, before you upgrade (and potentially lose your QT PRO Key privileges, should you happen to own one) we recommend that you double click a pose and take it "around" for a "test-drive." You may also want to check the Apple Computer Company, Inc. QuickTime site (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download) to see if there is an even newer version available.
Exporting in QT Pro is ONLY IN 32-bit mode! Please adjust your image viewer accordingly. For example, let's say you are using a MAC and you have PS/CS5; problem: PS/CS5 does not read 32 bit images. Solution: PREVIEW will. All you would have to do is select the Preview software (highlight it) then select "Command+ i " to access the info panel. There, select "Open in 32-bit mode." The rest is easy: you can open and work in PREVIEW, or save file again, and now open it in CS5.
KNOWN ISSUES (BUG REPORT) AND THEIR SOLUTIONS
MACINTOSH (MAC): As of ÒtodayÓ, it would seem that the QT Movie Player was printing the image a little smaller than in QT Movie Player version 6.5, as well as printing solid tone under the image or to the side. And, if that was not enough, it is printing several copies as well as aÉminiature. We tried printing third party QTVR movies and we got the same results. WeÕve contacted Apple about this and they are aware of the problem.
In the meantime, make sure you set your printer to ÒlandscapeÓ or ÒportraitÓ as appropriate. Plus, donÕt forget to print ÒPage 1 – 1Ó only!
Here is a direct quote from the response from Apple when we requested permission to distribute QuickTime vs. 6.5 (which, on the MAC, prints flawlessly!)

WINDOWS (PC):Virtual Pose ® QTVR is no longer compatible with Windows ®! Please opt for the
UNIVERSAL [HTML5-Compatible] version.
